Dennis Aabo Sørenson lost his hand in a firework accident in 2004. Now the 36 year old Danish denizen can feel once more, with fabricated digits. The bionic hand, which can detect shapes and sizes transmits that information back to Dennis via electrical sensors attached to his brain. In fact, it is so effective that he was consistently able to tell the difference between objects of different shapes (triangular pyramids, spheres, and cubes). This is a crucial step, as have all of these developments, in making those who have lost an appendage most whole once more.
